Juri Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP) at the University of British Columbia. With a focus on disaster vulnerability and recovery, her current research delves into the intricacies of neighbourhood-level barriers and facilitators in economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically within Vancouver neighbourhoods. By unraveling the multifaceted factors that contribute to economic recovery following this global disaster, she hopes to make contributions to enhancing the resilience of neighbourhoods and fostering better preparedness for future disaster events.
